As Wonder Woman takes the world by storm, it’s important to take a moment to remember and honor the real-life female superheroes of the world. New Relic created this infographic to celebrate some historical “female nerd heroes.” These heroic women overcame obstacles, including gender-bias and cultural pressures, to contribute to technological innovation. Technology is a predominantly male field and has been for decades. The women include Janie Tsao, Radia Perlman, Mary Lou Jepsen, Grace Murray Hopper, Angela Byron, and Anita Borg. Beside the illustration of each woman is a brief biography, as well as a list of some of her remarkable accomplishments.
