They looked at the top-grossing horror movies, as well as the 100 most critically acclaimed horror movies of all time, to figure out where horror tends to take place. The resulting infographic contains some pretty interesting facts. For example, New York is the scariest state, with over 18 horror movies taking place there. Another fact to keep in mind when traveling: the most dangerous time zone is Eastern. So if you’re visiting the east coast, you might want to sleep with one eye open. But west coasters aren’t safe either: Los Angeles isn’t exactly free of hauntings.
